I fell into tech over a decade ago, and I’ve channeled my “outsider” status as a liberal arts person into writing crystal-clear documentation that makes technology understandable to all.

I have a unique blend of technical and communication skills, and I can convey complex information to a wide range of people, but I’ve spent most of my career writing for software engineers in particular. When I realized I was already doing 95% of the job of an engineer (because I needed to know everything they needed to know in order to write good documentation), I took a detour into becoming one myself for a few years, but ultimately realized I missed writing and could have a greater impact in a role where I do more of it.

Outside of work, I enjoy trying new niche sports, making food for friends, learning languages, and going outside to look at birds.
